Today I have a page up on the My Mind’s Eye blog using their NEW Six by Six Two paper pads. I love using these smaller sheets of paper with my die cutting machines! On this page, I created a colorful title and quilt-inspired background using the papers from the A Mother’s Love paper pad.
The title is simply a mix of three fonts from my computer, cut out on my Silhouette electronic die cutting machine. I love how crisp and neatly the Silhouette cuts out the letters! I tied a bit of Lime Twist baker’s twine around the letter “S” and added Lush 2 orange ribbon/button to the border strip beneath the letters. The lacy white borders were created with border punches. The top one is by EK Success and the bottom one is by Martha Stewart Crafts.
I think Quail families are the cutest thing ever! I love to watch them scamper around the neighborhood … the little ones trying so desperately to keep up with their momma all the time. :) Kind of reminds me of my own family at times. This quail cut is from the Silhouette store. I anchored each bird on a simple layered circle background embossed with my Cuttlebug machine and the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Thanks for coming by today! I’ll be back tomorrow to share a Back-to-School teacher gift with all of you. I hope to see you then!
