Studio Calico June So Cal Kit & Giveaway!

Yesterday I shared with you sneak peeks of the two layouts I created for the My Mind’s Eye & Studio Calico collaboration. I’m back again today to show you the complete pages featured on the Studio Calico blog today, as well as an additional page I created using the beautiful, June Studio Calico So Cal kit. I LOVED the color combination of coral, aqua, and juicy oranges . . . especially the way they played off the neutral kraft and grays in the kit! Studio Calico is having a My Mind’s Eye Giveaway along with today’s post . . . go HERE for a chance to win and let them know I sent ya!

And that’s not all! Studio Calico has graciously offered to give a $10 Studio Calico gift card to one of my readers! Woot! Woot! Please leave a comment on this post by midnight on Saturday, June 2nd for your chance to WIN!!!

EVERY FRIDAY

My daughter is such a hoot. Every friday, without fail, my cute teen walks in the door from school and has the same request . . . “Can we go to Target?”

I loved the tabbed die cut card in this kit . . . it was just begging for journaling to be written on each of the different colored lines.

The die cuts came in a glassine bag and I decided that the glassine itself would make a fun addition to this page. I added punched hearts underneath one of the photos here.

HAVING FUN

For this page, I used my Cricut Expression machine to cut out the stamp background. I stitched together a few patterned papers to form the background for my “stamp.”

How fun are these hexagon die cuts?! Love the starburst pattern on each of them. So sunny and fun!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

My favorite, favorite, favorite part of this kit? The woodgrain cardstock. SWOON!

These are my kids last-day-of-school pictures from last year. I figured I better hurry and scrap them before I take more tomorrow. 🙂 So many elements from this kit lend themselves to school pages with a fresh twist: the alphabet paper, the notebook paper, the graph paper, the map borders. Love them all!

I used the Exclusive Studio Calico arrow stamps from this kit on this page, and then I added a few stamps from my stash (by Studio G) to the speech bubble die cuts.

A big THANK YOU to Studio Calico for letting me play with the So Cal kit this month with all of its happy goodies! I LOVED working with the exclusive Studio Calico papers and My Mind’s Eye together. What a great combination!

Thanks for stopping by today! Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win the $10 Studio Calico gift card!
