This month the BasicGrey Design Team created sample pages for the November PageMaps. I LOVE Becky Fleck’s sketches! Here is my take on the 2-page sketch she sent me to work with using the gorgeous BasicGrey 25th & Pine collection.
BasicGrey 25th & Pine Collection: Frosty Avenue Paper, Sleigh Bell Trail Paper, Chestnut Street Paper, Mistletoe Junction Paper, Elements Stickers, 5×7 Spiral Journal, Wood Veneer Ornaments, Jumbo Die Cut Numbers, Printed Chipboard Alpha, Printed Chipboard Shapes, Die Cuts & Transparencies
Here’s a closer look at each page. I used navy solid paper as the base to my page. I really love the way it made the other colors pop and also represented the night of the Nativity. And even though our family Christmas party isn’t held on the 25th of December, I used those numbers to represent the holiday we were celebrating. A transparent holly leaf, star stickers (from the Elements Stickers sheet), and the printed wood veneer die cut ornaments round out this side of the layout.
Have you checked out the 5×7 Spiral Journals by BasicGrey? I love these little books! They come with several different shaped pages that are printed with beautiful BasicGrey Artwork making them super easy to decorate. I used one of them to create a Christmas Countdown Mini Album that can be seen HERE. I also love tearing them out and using them as layers on my scrapbook pages. Here I used a rectangular page on the left side of this 2-page layout to contain my journaling. On the right side, I used the scalloped half circle page as a home for my title.
My title was created with another printed wood veneer die cut and the printed chipboard letters. The bell die cut is from the Die Cuts and Transparencies pack. In the upper right corner I layered together more printed chipboard ornaments along with a transparency piece and a ticket die cut.
Can you believe the holidays are right around the corner?! Time to get planning!
