Stash Busting: Army Gear

Today I’m doing a little stash-busting with a page about my son. My dad gave him some of his old army gear and he loves wearing it to have air-soft gun wars with his friends in the neighborhood. I pulled out a sketch by Scrapbook Generation, dug through my stash for army looking papers and embellishments and put this page together.

The background behind the photos is THIS CUT FILE I found in the Silhouette Cameo online store. After cutting it out (green paper by Bella Blvd) and layering it together, I trimmed it to size and matted it with another sheet of cardstock. I then added some Hambly rubons and washi tape at the top and bottom in opposite corners. The strip of map patterned paper is a scrap I had in my stash … if I remember right, it is by October Afternoon.

The “photo” sticker, tab sticker, and mini letter stickers are from Jenni Bowlin. The alphabet stickers are wood patterned Thickers by American Crafts. I used the periods or dots from the sheet as “brads” to go in the center of each of the foil stars. The gold foil stars worked awesome here. I received them from a Work In Progress kit (Love you, Trish Turay!), oh gosh, from like seven years ago (BTW, before there was Pinterest, there was always Trish Turay’s blog … and now she has the most amazing Pinterest boards. Just thought I’d let you know. She is a woman of many talents!). I love them and wish I had more sheets of them. The phrase sticker is by Echo Park Paper.

Well, that is my quick share for today! Off to create some more! I hope to see you again soon. 🙂
