Today I have a new project up on the BasicGrey blog using the Herbs & Honey collection. I know that sometimes people shy away from purchasing a themed collection like this, but rest assured you will find plenty of reasons to use these cute papers! (Wouldn’t they make an adorable Recipe Album?)
Infact, I used these garden-inspired products with photos of my daughter in a Cowgirl costume. See?! Just use them for what you want. The colors and textures are the most important thing!
DADDY DAUGHTER DATE
For my assignment, I was challenged to find an image on Pinterest and use them along with the Herbs & Honey Bottlecap Stickers (arent’ they cute?!). I have always been inspired by wedding cakes, and was drawn to this quilted diamond patterned cake with the studs adorning the points of each of the diamonds and thought it would be a really fun idea to use with the tiny bottlecaps.
I used the my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cutter to cut several diamond shapes from the Herbs & Honey 6 x 6 paper pad and then arranged them in a random order on my background. Then, to mimick the studs, I placed the small bottlecap stickers on each point. LOVE!
I created the title by layering together two colors of the tiny Alphabet Stickers (love that you get so many colors on one sheet), and paired them with the Kraft with White Print Chipboard Alphabet Letters. My vertical photo is adhered to one of the Printed Kraft Bags. My journaling is added to one of the Snippets and accented with an Element Sticker and a couple more Bottlecap Stickers.
Finally, I added a die cut tab to the top of my vertical photo and a couple of the transparency borders underneath my title (both from the Die Cuts & Transparencies pack).
Sadly, this is my last page for the BasicGrey Design Team. I have LOVED working with their collections and being a part of such a talented team for the past two years. I will miss them, and will always be a fan of their amazing collections. Blowing kisses their way! Thank you for the fun ride!
Have a great day!
