Halloween Happenings

Happy Belated Halloween! I hope you had a magical, whimsical day with your family and friends. Here is how the Eubank family celebrated Halloween this year.

Last Saturday was the Jensyn’s Halloween dance. She went in a group of friends with four couples and each of them decided to dress as a decade. Jensyn and her date dressed as the 80s. 🙂 We have the 80s and the 90s featured on the back row … and then the 50s and the 70s featured on the front row. I LOVED that the guys really got into dressing up, too! They looked great!

We were lucky to find this yellow mesh sweater at Saver’s along with a bunch of funky jewelry and a wide belt to sling across her hips. 🙂

It’s hard to tell from this picture, but Jensyn had her hair crimped all wavy and up in a banana clip (remember those?). I love her hair wavy! It took forever to do (she’s so lucky to have thick, long hair … wish *I* had that “problem” hehe!), so we worked on it earlier in the day before their day activity of bowling.

After bowling, they all went home to change in their garb, and then they came over to our house for dinner on our back patio. I had fun decorating it all fancy for them. My husband was sweet enough to hang up all the lights for us. It looked amazing!

I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo machine and created decorations to go on the backs of each chair. The accordian spiderweb is by SVG Cuts and can be found in the Catacomb Manor SVG Kit.

On the alternating chairs, I enlarged the banner from the SVG Cuts Midnight Jamboree Kit … so cute!

I cut out several spiderwebs (Creepy Spider Web by Samantha Walker in the Silhouette Online Store)  and layered them down the center of the table as a table runner. I cut a spiders (Cricut October 31st Cartridge) out and used glue dots to attach them to the edges of the glasses. The rest of the doodads were in a party kit that I purchased at Michael’s. I purchased the metal haunted house at TJ Maxx about 7 years ago. We placed in on the table with dry ice fog oozing out the sides. It looked awesome!

See the beaded spiders on the table? I made those following directions on THIS SITE. They were so much fun! Afterwards, I sprinkled them among my Halloween decorations inside to add a creepy touch.

Yesterday morning, the kids carved their pumpkins.

Jensyn grossed us out with her Barfing King pumpkin. Owen created a John Denver Pumpkin. Maryn’s pumpkin had toothpick teeth and carved hair, and Camryn created a kitty cat with hears and legs attached with pumpkins. They all looked so festive sitting on the front porch!

All dressed up and ready to have some fun!
