One More Halloween Page!

Okay, okay … I couldn’t stop! I have one more Halloween layout to add to other spooky pages I have shared with you this week. 🙂

I had these blurry shots of the girls’ Halloween Costume parade from last year that I wasn’t particularly excited to get scrapped. They just weren’t calling my name … but, I decided I would go ahead and tackle them while I had all of the Halloween papers out on my desk. And you know what?! I actually had fun with them! I’m happy about how this one came together.

THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT

I used a Scrapbook Generation sketch to get me started on this one. I loved that the photos were anchored by patterned paper strips … a great way to use up the scraps hanging out on my desk from my other Halloween projects this week. The bottom strip is a length of fabric tape. I added the star border rubon over the top to bring down the star pattern I have going on at the top of the page.

I love making die cut titles, but this time I decided to utilize my ever-growing stash of letter stickers and create a mixed title. I usually shy away from doing this because I’m too lazy to look through all of my alphabet bins. Hehe! I need to do it more often … I love the way it turned out!

On the sketch there was a grouping of 4-5 circles and stars on the right hand side of the page. I replaced these with a few pumpkins I created using my Silhouette Cameo machine. I used the pumpkins from the Cirque de Scaree set of cut files by Lettering Delights. I just love the striped pumpkins with their party hats and silly grins! In fact, I’m thinking it might be fun to make party hats for the pumpkins on our porch next Hallooween!

The Halloween decorations are now put away for the year and I think it might be time to put away the Halloween papers, too. I’ve been itching to scrapbook some Fall photos, but haven’t really taken any this year. Sounds like I better pull out the camera and get some pics of the kids playing in the leaves before the snow starts to fly. 🙂

Have a great day!

  1. Jana, I too scrapped a blurry photo this past week! It was one of my favorite costumes from the school ‘costume parade’ through each of the classrooms. Trust me, you are NOT alone lol.
