Spooky & Sweet

It’s just three days until Halloween! Do you have any fun plans? Are you dressing up this year? Tell me about your costume!

We are nearing the end of my Halloween shares. It makes me sad, because I love to scrapbook Halloween so much. At the same time, I feel so happy that I was able to accomplish so much!

SPOOKY

For this page, I challenged myself to use only the 6×6 paper pad and Ephemera die cut pack that I picked up at TJ Maxx. I did it! And I love the results.

I used two sheets of orange 6×6 paper to create a strip to ground my photos. The seam is hidden behind the striped photo mat of the larger picture.

I attached the title letters using my mini stapler. If you don’t own one, you NEED one! It is one of my favorite tools!

I wish that die cut pack included 100 more of those vellum spider webs. They are stamped with black foil, instead of just flat ink, and I adore them!

For the journaling, I drew some wobbly and imperfect lines. I love the casual feeling they add to this page. Finally, I stamped a few open star stamps around the background to tie everything together.

OCTOBER 31st

This little girl of mine loves posing for pictures. I’ll take it! Knowing how my other kids were, she will grow out of that phase soon enough. She is quite the character for the camera and always gives me a million facial expressions. One of these days I need gather them all up and print them all out as tiny squares. Wouldn’t that make a fun page? (making a note to myself for later)

The other day I mentioned how much I love cream backgrounds lately. This is the third one I have done this past week. I just love the softness here with the glittery gold accents!

The pops of black are quite fun, too! Loving the large polka dot washi tape on top of the orange patterns!
