Carta Bella Paper: Typewriter Gift Box

Are you looking for a fun way to give a gift to your father or grandfather this father day? Or maybe you have a graduate that is beginning their life journey this year? Create a fun gift box for either of these occasions using the Old World Travel Collection with its classic feel.

I created this typewriter die cut gift box using an electronic die cutting machine and the Natural White Linen Designer Cardstock. The typewriter cut file is from THIS amazing set by SVG Cuts.com called “Good Day at the Office.”
Next, I used the beautiful papers from the Old World Travel Collection to add color and a vintage feel.

But the fun part was adding the ephemera and embellishments to the top of the typewriter! I stacked several postcards shapes along with some die cuts, stickers and enamel dots to create the layered clusters in the paper carriage and on the front left corner of the typewriter. The black enamel dots almost mimic black ink droplets, don’t you think?!

I created the keys for the typewriter using the tile letter stickers from the Beach Day Element Sticker sheet. They work perfectly here!

The lid lifts off to reveal a nice-sized box perfect for a paperback book, a card, a fancy pen, a treat, a gift card, or whatever else you would like to give that special someone. Enjoy!
