I’ve been making an effort in between design team projects to dig into my stash and just play with whatever products are calling my name. It’s been a lot of fun! And I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I use my stuff instead of letting it continue to sit there. It’s one of my very favorite things to do!
I pulled out the beautiful November 2015 Felicity Jane kit and was inspired to create the following two pages.
TWO SILLY SISTERS
I’m so happy that all of my daughters get along so well with each other … I really hope that continues into their adulthood. I think they will look back on silly pictures like these and just treasure them! They are the perfect illustration of the fun they always have together!
I’ve been loving adding several layers under my photo groupings lately … and you will see that on both layouts I am sharing today.
I LOVE patterned paper, layering them together like this is a fun way to use them!
The pink vellum letter stickers are from an older Pebbles Inc. collection. I bought them at the American Crafts warehouse sale recently and was glad the color went so well with the pink flowers in the floral paper here.
I wanted the feather clips to look like they were falling down the top corner of the page. I could have stitched them on, but opted to cut a small slit in the background cardstock and just clip them on. Easy peasy!
FALL CHOIR CONCERT
I handcut several leaves from a patterned paper for this page. I used them all over the page to add some flair. I think they help to keep your eye moving around, taking everything in. Especially because these photos are on the average spectrum … just some standard crowd photos. *giggle* I included them because I think my daughter will enjoy looking back and seeing her classmates someday.
See those pink letters. I adore them! They are really old, but I wish I had another set of them. They are by Making Memories from a baby collection called Pitter Patter. They are the most lovely pink and have the sweetest cross-hatch pattern on them. They go perfectly with the colors in this kit! Sigh … I miss Making Memories … does anyone else wish they were still around?
You can’t tell from the photos, but those word phrases are actually gold foil SWOON! I love the shine they add to this page. They are made by American Crafts (the DIY line) and I adore them! I think I’ll leave them on my desk for awhile and use them on every page until they are gone! 🙂
This week I’ll be working on some fun Echo Park projects using the Mermaid collection (I’ll share those with you as soon as they hit the Echo Park Paper blog) as well as planning Camryn’s 10th birthday with her friends later this week. I love a party! And will share any crafty things we decide to do with you here.
Have a great week! I’ll see you again real soon!
