Echo Park: Island Ukelele Box

Hi guys! As I was anticipating our family vacation to Hawaii last month, I was just ITCHING to have a little bit of tropical fun in my life! You know … coconuts, palm trees swaying in a warm ocean breeze, the sound of Hawaiian music and ocean waves in your ears?! Good thing I had the Island Paradise Mini Collection by Echo Park Paper to play with!

I created this fun Ukelele gift box with the filled with Swedish Fish candies.

I created the box using cardstock. This cute guitar box is a cut file created by the ever-amazing Mary Rudakas over at SVGCuts.com. You can find it in the Vintage Valentines collection here.
Once the box was assembled I added the Island Paradise patterned paper to give it some tropical flair. I think the Fun in the Sun paper was perfect for this! Even the stripes of the Aloha paper created the perfect frets for the neck of the ukelele.

I cut the flower and “Aloha!” sentiment from the Journaling Card paper. A few jewels add a bit of sparkle.

I layered together a few stickers and patterned papers for a quick enclosure card.

The top lifts off to reveal the colorful treat! Yum!

  1. Jana,
I wasn’t able to find anyone who cuts and sells boxes, are you aware of anyone? Thanks.
This is adorable, we love HI and were just there in May/June. Hope you have a great time.
