Noel Mignon: Birthday Layout and Pocket Page

Hello Friends! I have two final projects to share with you using the Noel Mignon July “Summer Lovin'” kits before moving on to the August “Vintage Charm” kits tomorrow.

SURPRISE

This fun sprinkle paper by Imaginisce had me thinking of cupcakes and so today’s page is all about birthdays!

In my kit were the adorable bike, flamingo, and balloon die cuts. What you may not know is that the flamingo is one of Camryn’s favorite animals … and on this particular birthday, she received a new bike. Perfect recipe to combine them together, don’t you think?! 😀 Especially since, with his bent leg, the flamingo looks like he is pedaling the bicycle. Ha!

I used a photo collage template to arrange my photos together in Photoshop. I covered up an insignificant photo in the bottom right corner with patterned paper, so that I could overlap the flamingo and balloon die cuts onto the photo collage. I also added a few punched hearts with pink pearls (from my stash) overlapping onto the photo above. Overlapping embellishments onto your photos helps everything feel more connected, just make sure you don’t cover up anything important. 🙂

In the top left corner, I created a little cluster of elements. The Just Happy sticker, balloon and arrow sticker all come from the Summer Lovin’ Daily Diary kit. The sun was handcut from one of the patterned papers in the Classic kit. I placed the Just Happy sticker on a punched hexagon to give it a little more presence.

Finally, to keep with the birthday feel, I added a sprinkling of the Queen & Co. orange discs and a few more pink pearls in a confetti-style around the page.

I love how cute and festive this turned out!

SUMMER PARTY

I had a lot of fun with the stickers on this page. I used the script words by Jillibean Soup overlapping onto the photos, the chipboard Echo Park icon stickers, and then used the Elle’s Studio puffy stickers to accent things.

The right side of this spread is my favorite!
