Echo Park Paper: Mermaid Party!

It’s August! And at our house that means it’s time for birthday parties! All of my kids were born during the summer, which means I morph into full party-planning mode during this time of year.
Echo Park’s paper collections are perfect for making your party unique. I couldn’t resist planning an adorable Mermaid party for my daughter using the Let’s Be Mermaids collection … because, let’s face it … being a mermaid is every little girl’s dream!
I used my Silhoeutte Cameo electronic die cutting machine to create everything you see here! A mermaid sandcastle centerpiece, ocean shaker favor boxes, and a crown and wand for the special birthday mermaid!

I created the castle using the castle cut file from the Bedtime Stories SVG Set by SVGCuts.com. Decorating the castle was my favorite part! I had so much fun adding all of the little characters around every side of the sandcastle!

I even decorated the sides and back! It’s important for your centerpiece to look lovely from all sides, not just the front, right?! 😀

The birthday girl will feel so special wearing a crown and carrying a wand adorned with starfish cut outs.

Every crown needs a touch of sparkle! The glitter Enamel Dots work perfectly here.

The wand looks extra sweet adorned with a paper bow made with the Mini 3D Bow Die Set.

I always like to give our guests something extra special to take home. I created these Ocean Shaker Favor Boxes with a little aquarium scene inside the lid.

The fish were created with the Fish Die Set #2 dies that coordinate with the Let’s Be Mermaids collection. I popped them up on foam squares to give the ocean scene a little more depth. A sprinkling of aqua sequins look like underwater bubbles. So fun!

I love to throw parties! And I hope this has inspired you to think outside the box and use your supplies to make your next celebration unique.
