This month the American Crafts design team members are creating with the December PageMaps sketches. I LOVE Becky Fleck’s sketches! She always inspires me and makes creating easy!
Here is the page I created with one of her double-page sketches and the American Crafts Sweater Weather collection. (Be sure to visit PageMaps this month to see what the rest of the team created!)
One of my kids’ favorite Christmas Eve traditions is exchanging gifts with one another. My husband and I always give them new Christmas jammies to wear that night and I always make them pose by the Christmas tree for a few pictures.
I used the cute snowflake paper (Brrrr Paper) for the background of this page, adding in green accents with the branding strips from the same paper, as well as border pieces cut from the Happy Winter Paper.
I trimmed down one of the 4×6 cut apart cards from the Snuggles & Cocoa paper to use as a journaling spot. I then added a spray of floral Ephemera die cuts at the top for accent. (The banner piece is from the sticker sheet.)
Next, I created three scenes with some cute characters around the page. A few pine trees and a penguin below the journaling block …
… a snowman drinking hot cocoa at the bottom of the first page …
… and a fox and bear modeling winter wear on the right side of the page. My oldest daughter knit scarves this Christmas for each of her siblings and so I thought the critters wearing scarves and hats were PERFECT for this page!
This was such a great sketch to work with! I am so happy I was able to use Becky’s sketch to organize NINE photos on this layout! And the Sweater Weather collection was the perfect choice to brighten up these dark photos.
