This month I am the Guest Designer at PageMaps. I had so much fun creating my page … and a hard time picking just ONE sketch to work with … that I just kept on creating!
So here are two more pages, using two more sketches from the February 2018 sketches at PageMaps.
LET’S PARTY
Since I already had the Echo Park Paper Happy Birthday Girl collection on my desk from my first page, I decided to just keep on with the theme and create a second page using this darling collection along with items from my stash!
I placed all of my photos in frames. I used premade frames, but you could also create your own using the WRMK Frame Punch Board or a die cutting machine.
I used patterns from the Happy Birthday Girl 6×6 paper pad behind my main photo, along with some star paper clips and a tab from the Ephemera pack.
I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to die cut my page title. I cut the title a total of three times; once on teal cardstock and then twice from white cardstock. I trimmed away the “let’s” word from the second layer of white and embossed it with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Next, I layered up some circles, added more star clips and then added a length of teal washi tape to the top of the page, in an effort to balance the teal color around the total page.
I cut out the pinata horse from the 4×4 Journaling Cards paper and tucked him behind the photos so that he is just peeking out a little to say “hello!”
To add the star clip to the center of the page, I simply used my craft knife to cut a slit in the paper.

………………………………………………………..
I was on a “birthday” theme roll at this point … and decided to just keep on going! For this next page, I used an older collection by Echo Park Paper called Party Time. (Still available for purchase at Scrapbook.com if you like this collection. Yay! 🙂 ) I had an extra cut of the title sitting on my desk from the last page, and decided to just go ahead and use that title again, since these pages will be placed several years apart in our albums.
LET’S PARTY (Round 2!)
This time I used one of the 8.5×11 PageMaps sketches and adjusted it to fit a 12×12 base. It worked great!
I again cut the title out of multiple colors of paper … only this time I used a pen to outline the letters of the word “Party.” This helps connect the title to the black cardstock background I used for this page.
I love these rosette stickers! I die cut some pinked circle shapes to go behind them and popped them off the page for more dimension. I added an enamel dot to the center of each one for a bit of shine.
For this page, I used the WRMK Frame Punch Board to create the frame around the main photo. The polaroid frames around the two smaller photos were created from a die from my stash (I believe it is from an older WRMK or American Crafts die set).
