Christmas Catchup: Part 2 of 2

Happy Sunday, friends! I’m back with part 2 of my Christmas Catchup post.

Yesterday, I mentioned that I am never able to get very much holiday scrapping done during the holidays … because let’s face it … there are a gazillion other things going on that month! LOL!

So, in an effort to not keep falling behind I made a goal with myself to do as much as possible this year, as I could steal a minute or two.

Yesterday, I shared with you three double-page layouts that I created this season … and today I have two single page layouts. One created with a brand new collection from this year (Carta Bella Paper’s A Very Merry Christmas collection) and another one using up items from my stash!

Here we go!

TINSEL RAIN

I do not use tinsel on our Christmas trees, but I couldn’t resist using that cute typography on this page as a title! It’s just so vintage and wonderful … like EVERYTHING in the amazing Carta Bella Paper A Very Merry Christmas collection.

I mean, look at these ornaments!!! Do they not just capture your heart right off the bat and take you to yesteryear?! LOVE them!

The starting point for this page, is that darling Santa cut from the Santa’s List paper. I had initially cut him out for another project where I scored the right side of him. I scored him in the wrong place and had to use another sheet for that other project, but I couldn’t let that cute Santa go to waste … so I decided I needed to add him to a page.

The dies that Echo Park/Carta Bella create are outstanding and I love to use them on my projects every chance that I get! I mean … look at the cute detail of the layer with the holly vein for the leaves! I used the Evergreen Shimmer cardstock along with the Classic Green Felt and Scarlet Red Felt Designer cardstocks to create this little cluster.

BELIEVE

I loved creating this next layout … it was just one of those that flowed as I sifted through several bits that I had leftover from a Noel Mignon Christmas kit from a few years back. I combined those bits with some “oldies, but goodies” still in my stash … and just had fun creating!

My girls are so tiny in these pictures. They had just gotten out of the bath and were all snuggly in their jammies and fuzzy robes. A Christmas show was on TV and the two little sisters cuddled up together in the chair to watch. It still warms my heart to look at these pictures and takes me right back to that cozy night!

Loving the look of all of the patterned papers stacked up together here with just a little bit from each one peeking out. … And how cute is that deer die cut from Pretty Little Studio! I love vintage artwork like that!

  1. I love the nostalgic feel to these pages, especially the one with your little girls – a few years ago now!! Precious. The papers and embellishments create the nostalgia. Special memories pages.
