Echo Park Paper: Hello Spring Rainboot

I’m getting so excited for Spring and all that comes with it … rain showers, sprouting grass, birds chirping, and colorful flowers! Ahhhh! I can feel the warm sunshine on my arms now!

Today I have a fun 3D project to share with you … a Rainboot filled with adorable paper flowers and pinwheels!

I used the Echo Park Paper Hello Spring collection along with the Hello Easter Solids Kit to create this cheerful wellie boot. The butterfly patterned paper (4×4 Journaling Cards paper) was perfect for the main body of the boot. I then added patterned accents with the 4×6 Journaling Cards paper and the Spring Flowers paper.

I created a tag using the Fancy Tags Die Set to hang from the strap of the rainboot. I added a sticker from the Hello Spring Element Sticker sheet and then adorned it with a butterfly created with the Bloom Into Spring Die Set.

Next, it was time to fill up my boot! I used paper straws and dies to create the pinwheels and flower using more papers from the Hello Spring collection. The pinwheel was created with the Sunny Pinwheel Die Set, and the flower was created with the Flower Set #1 Die Set. I also added flowers and leaves to the center of each pinwheel, complete with sparkling, gem brads from the Sweet Baby Boy Decorative Brads.

This project is so versatile! It’s the perfect home decor piece to brighten a window sill … or fill the boot with a treat and brighten up a friend’s day!
