When I was a girl, I loved my baby dolls. Taking care of them, changing their outfits, and rocking them to sleep each night was so much fun for me. Surprisingly, none of my three daughters seemed to love dolls as much as I did when I was their age … they mostly gravitated towards stuffed animals instead.
That was until my youngest daughter received a Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas one year. She took that doll everywhere! So, of course I had to include this random snapshot of her watching a movie on the computer with her beloved doll.
CABBAGE PATCH DOLL
I used the Welcome Spring set by Simple Stories along with a few bits and pieces from my stash. I only had one photo, so I decided to create a layered mat for it and cluster lots of fussy-cut flowers all around.
I keep random leftover bits and bobs in a container close to my desk. Inside I found these two metal wreath embellishments from an old Freckled Fawn kit, and thought they might be fun tucked among the flowers.
I pulled out some old October Afternoon letter stickers for the title on this page. I added some gold clips to the top, accenting one of them with a black enamel heart.
I fussy-cut the journaling block from one of the cut apart cards, to continue the title on. I added a couple of bird stickers and more black enamel hearts for good measure.
Were you into baby dolls when you were a girl … or were you like my daughters and took a liking to stuffed animals instead?
