American Crafts: Color Pour!

If you know American Crafts, you know that they are always coming up with innovative new products. They have just released a brand new DIY program called Color Pour! These products help you to create paint pour art in a simple, hassle-free way.

When I received my box of Color Pour goodies, I squealed with excitement! I’ve never done a project like this, and I couldn’t wait to try my hand at it! I was especially happy I was sent a range of aqua paints to play with … (How in the world did they know Aqua is my favorite color?!!) … not to mention all of the fun glitters and mica flakes that were calling my name!

I do have one warning for you … even though it is easy … it’s ADDICTING! 😀 Here’s a quick peek at what I created.

And all of the fun products I got to play with!

I created these two to hang together in my scrapbook room. They are a little bit different from one another … I will explain how below.

First, the top one. This one is my favorite! I just love the way the marbling came out with the bright aqua as the main color.

Besides swirling the paint around on the canvas, my favorite part was decorating the wet paint with the gold and iridescent mica flakes and glitters.

The second canvas was fun to make, too. This time I mixed chunky glitter in with the paint, creating a textured effect.

I had so much fun creating with Color Pour! What paint colors would you choose to create your own piece of paint pour art?
