It’s the first of the month and you know what that means! … New sketches over on PageMaps.com. Here is the layout I created this month using the Simple Stories Forever Fall collection.
FALL
This was the perfect sketch to house all of the random snapshots I took at Thanksgiving dinner last year. Photos like these are always quite colorful and a bit chaotic to take in when they are placed in a group like this on a page. To make them more cohesive, I changed them to black and white. Black and white photos feel timeless and are perfect for family memories like these.
I love this layered cluster I put together in the top left corner by overlapping several of the wreath elements from the chipboard and Bits & Pieces pack.
I didn’t need to include a lot of journaling on this page, so I opted to just state the place and date on one of the labels from the Bits & Pieces.
I used the chipboard “FALL” banner pieces on this page as a simple, straight-forward title and added stitching across the top for cozy, fall texture.
I then stitched around the outer edge of the page and added mist splatters behind the floral clusters to finish it off.
Do you have a group of snapshots that you would like to put together on a page, but you are afraid they will look too chaotic or busy? Try printing them in black and white and then showcasing them with a cute collection like the Simple Stories Forever Fall collection. You will love the result!
