I always look forward to January with its fresh-start-feeling and a chance to get caught up on a few projects after the holidays. What better way to do that than with sketches from PageMaps?
The January sketches are up and here is the page that I contributed this month using the Simple Stories Merry & Bright collection.
MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT
I fussy-cut this wreath from a 4x4 card of the Merry & Bright SNAP! Cards and was inspired to tuck my journaling spot into it as the circular element on this page.
I then built my title off to the right, on top of the photos, using the word “Bright” fussy-cut from one of the papers of the Merry & Bright 6×8 Pad.
Next, I added another circular element below the wreath on the left side of the page, by punching out the word JOY from one of the 3×4 cards. I then overlapped the “Ho Ho Ho” die cut from the Bits & Pieces on top of the photo to connect everything together.
I added the string of lights sticker at the bottom of this paper block and then placed the a couple more Bits & Pieces die cuts on the right side to fill in the gap and make the light strand sticker appear as though it goes all the way across the page underneath the car.
I finished off this layout by adding some texture with the stitching and the red foil dimensional dot accents on the snowflakes and touch points of the light strand.

I love your LO and I love this collection.
I used it for my DD and am also making many LO with other parts of the collection. All the colors work well with my granddaughters Christmas dresses. SS continues to be my favorite company!!!
