Echo Park Paper: This is My Happy Place

My craft room is my favorite room in the house and the place I spend the majority of my time. Today I’m up on the Echo Park Paper Blog with a page about my happy place using the Echo Park Paper I Heart Crafting collection.

I love the Coordinating Solid Paper Packs Echo Park offers with several of their collections. I always make a point to pick a set up because they are so perfect for matting photos, die cutting coordinating elements, or using them as a background like I did here on today’s page.

I gathered up the circular button die cuts from the Ephemera and Frames & Tags Ephemera packs to use in this cluster in the top right corner of the layout along with some fussy-cut flowers and a fussy-cut heart from the 3×4 Journaling Cards paper.

I added another fussy-cut floral, this time from the 4×6 Journaling Cards paper, to the left of my photos along with the “This is My Happy Place” 3×4 Journaling card as the page title. I placed the cute banner sticker at the bottom, and then tucked in the adorable button jar sticker and a fussy-cut pair of scissors as accents.

Here is a closer look at the leaf stems I die cut using the Floral Border Die Set to make the floral cluster feel a bit more dimensional. So pretty! And no, not all leaves have to be green! The pink stems are the perfect pop of color here, and help to distribute the dark pink color around the page.

Next, I used the Stitched Label Nesting Die set to create a journaling block from the Pink/Green Solid paper. I added the typewriter sticker to the right of the journaling block and then accented it with another decorative floral piece at the bottom die cut from the Dark Pink/Teal Solid paper with the Floral Border Die Set.
