Can you believe it’s March?!! Where in the world did February go?
Hello, friends! Today I have my March PageMaps to share with you. I decided to do a bit of stashbusting on this one and pulled out an older collection by Simple Stories from 2015 called We Are Family. I also dusted off a few stamps and older alphabet stickers and incorporated them on this page, as well.
COOKBOOK FUNDRAISER
I loved the pattern of the background paper, but it was taking focus away from my photos. I added a full sheet of vellum over the top and stitched in place with my sewing machine. You still have the fun pattern and colors, but they are now muted, allowing the focus to be on the design in the center of the page.
My punches got a good work out on this page, too! I fussy cut the flower clusters from patterned paper and then added a dimensional flower on top created with American Crafts and Stampin’ Up punches.
I even made some layered butterflies to accent the top right corner of the page.
Several years ago, journal block stamps were all the rage and I collected a fair amount of them. I’m glad I did! This tall block fits perfectly here to the left of the photo. I don’t know who the manufacturer was, but I can tell you that the “Notes:” stamp that I used at the top of the block was made by Creative Cafe.
I added another flower cluster to the bottom right corner of the page. I also added a metal arrow that I picked up at Tuesday Morning within the last year.
The patterned borders at the bottom of the block were created with a border punch (notebook) and patterned scissors (scallop). Oldies, but goodies! I still use both of these ALL the time!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Don’t forget to check out the new March sketches over at PageMaps.com, and be inspired by what the other designers created.
Have a great day!
