It’s February! Time to celebrate the people we LOVE! I’ve created a layout today featuring the Simple Stories Heart Eyes collection. Click on the video below to see how this page came together!
HEART EYES Layout
My daughter planned a special date for her boyfriend the other day where they went out to dinner and then went to Build-A-Bear to make matching Valentine monkeys. He surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and his mom snapped these cute photos of the two of them together.
The Journal Bits for this collection is so much FUN! I was immediately drawn to these two hearts. I layered them up together and then added journal strips on top. My handwriting is quite large, so the journal strips help me fit more of the story in the space I allotted.
I used the ‘Heart Eyes’ phrase from the Foam Stickers for my title, anchoring them with a chipboard heart accented with the black striped Decorative Brad. Behind the heart I added a floral piece, repeating the floral accenting the large heart on the right side of the page.
This collection makes me HAPPY with its unique color scheme of pink, red, orange, blue, and black. I also created a mini album with this collection that I will be sharing here on my blog next week. Be sure to check back on the 8th to see it!
