Organizing Tips at Noel Mignon and More MME

This week on the Noel Mignon Blog, everyone has been sharing their tips for organization and today is my turn. My room is in a constant state of reorganization as I figure out what works best for my creative process, and the constant flow of products in and out of my space. Some of the ideas, I have shared here before, and some I haven’t. If you’d like to take a tour through my space and see what bins and methods have worked for me (and might work for you), be sure to stop on over and say hello!

Scraproom photos are always annoyingly clean, right?! Just so you know that my space NEVER looks that clean, here is a little “behind-the-scenes” of all the stuff I had to move off my counters and floors and into the hallway to get my photos. Hehe! Just keepin’ it real! 🙂

And since I don’t have a Noel Mignon project to share this week … how about I share another My Mind’s Eye CHA page? This one was created with the My Mind’s Eye Now & Then Mildred Collection.

OH HAPPY DAY

I had fun layering a bunch of the chipboard elements together on this page. I love how the new collections have metallic elements mixed in. It was fun to add pops of bright color to the gold hearts with the enamel shapes.

Thanks for taking time today to read my blog! Wishing you a creative and relaxing weekend!

My Mind’s Eye Now & Then Dorothy Page

I promised that I would share with you the projects I created for the My Mind’s Eye CHA booth this year, and then got sidetracked for a couple of days. Sorry about that! I didn’t mean to leave you hanging. 🙂

The fabulous Jen Allyson has designed a new range for My Mind’s Eye called Now & Then. I always love working with Jen’s collections, and was thrilled when I was able to play with her new lines and create three layouts for the show. Here is the first of the three, using the Dorothy color scheme.

HAPPY

SUPPLIES
My Mind’s Eye Now & Then Dorothy Collection: Charmed paper, Blossom paper, Happiness paper, Spirited paper, 6×6 paper pad, “Wild & Free” Mixed Bag, Enamel Shapes, Decorative Brads, Stickers, 12 x 12 Chipboard, 3×4 pack

JanaEubank_MyMindsEye_Happy2

I used the “Happy” from the Happy Birthday chipboard elements (you could also spell out “Happy Day”) for the title and then accented it with several heart elements. I used chipboard, die cuts, stickers, and the new enamel shapes. I ADORE the hearts and numbers!!! I gotta stock up on some more of those babies!

JanaEubank_MyMindsEye_Happy3

For the smaller photos, I used a polaroid die cut from the mixed bag and then a 3×4 card. The flowers are from the 12 x 12 chipboard elements.

I don’t have a close up shot of it, but the little tag that I tied around the photo comes from the Decorative Brads. I removed the brad, punched a hole where the brad was, and then added an eyelet.

Thanks for taking a peek at my page! I’ll share the rest of my My Mind’s Eye projects with you here-and-there over the next week.

Bye!

Have a Holly JOLLY Christmas!

I was absolutely THRILLED when Leo Kowal from SVG Cuts contacted me and asked me to be a Guest Designer for their 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway celebration! (Be sure to check in daily on the SVG Cuts Facebook page for a chance at some FANTASTIC prizes!!! Hint, Hint: Today they have a giveaway for a Silhouette CAMEO! Eeek!) I have been collecting SVG Cuts files over the past year and LOVE everything they create. If you haven’t taken a peek at their website you NEEEEEED to! Watch a few of their videos and you will see what I mean. 😉 Amazing, amazing stuff! And sooo much fun to create with!

This week they are having a 25% off total purchase Christmas sale (use coupon code XMAS at checkout). As a thank you to their customers, this week they will also be putting up an entire collection as a FREE GIFT for their customers. WOW! How awesome is that?! I will let you know when it goes up so you can download it.

Okay … onto my project. 🙂

JOLLY

SVG CUTS Supplies:

How cute are those nesting dolls?! The minute I saw them, I knew I wanted to use them on a holiday page. I used various papers from my scrap stash for the cut outs and then used the My Mind’s Eye Mistletoe Magic collection for the background papers. Here’s a closer look.

JanaEubank_SVGCuts_Jolly2e

To add a bit of texture to the nesting dolls clothes, I used a couple of embossing folders. The trees on Mrs. Claus’ apron are a BasicGrey embossing folder called Snow & Trees. The snowman’s cape is embossed with Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder. I added chalk to the nesting dolls cheeks and hair for a bit more dimension and then used pearl stickers in both white and black as buttons and eyes.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! My posts are going to be a bit sporadic until I get through the holidays, but I will definitely hop on when I have something to share. Don’t forget to check out SVG Cuts 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways on Facebook. They have some AWE-SOME prizes that you won’t want to miss!

See you soon!

Be the Best You

As a 12×12 scrapbooker, it took me awhile to see the value of the 6×6 paper pad that so many paper companies offer along with their collections, but now I LOVE them! I love mixing larger patterns from the 12 x 12 collection (for example, the large red chevron print on this page), with the smaller scale prints from the coordinating 6×6 paper pad (the rest of the papers used on this page).

Again, this page was inspired by a shape I saw in an interior design magazine. Home décor really inspires me … it always has. 🙂 I think my husband is thankful I love scrapbooking so much, because if I didn’t, I might be trying out all the fun things I see on larger surfaces … like the walls in our home. Hehe! It’s nice to have a 12″ surface to experiment on. 🙂

My Mind’s Eye Cut & Paste “Presh” Collection: Details paper, Awed paper, 6×6 paper pad, Beautiful 2×6 Journal Card, Tiny Word Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Enamel Shapes, Decorative Buttons, Decorative Stamps

JanaEubank_MyMindsEye_BestYou1

I used the My Mind’s Eye Cut & Paste Presh collection for this page. The 2×6 journal card was the perfect title. I could have used the open white rectangle for the journaling, but opted to add three punched and layered butterflies instead to carry the pink around the page in a visual triangle.

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away? We will be eating dinner at my in-laws house with 35+ people. Should be lots of fun!
