Yesterday, I shared my monthly PageMaps layout for October. I loved the sketch so much, that I decided to pull out an older collection I had hanging out in my stash and put it to work again. This time, I created a page about my daughter. The collection I used is the Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life collection.

The main reason I pulled out this collection is because I couldn’t resist fussy-cutting those flowers! They are so happy and bright. I used some clear domes on the centers of the smaller flowers to add a bit more interest.

One day I will invest in a large format printer so that I can print my journaling directly on my 12×12 paper, but for now, I will use a transparency. It sticks out a little bit in the photos, but once the layout is behind a sheet protector in my album, I don’t think it will bother me as much.

Since I already had the Oh Happy Life collection on my desk, I went ahead and used it to create the following layout. I used another PageMaps sketch that several people on YouTube have been working with lately. I’m not sure which month this sketch is from, but here it is in case you would like to give it a go, too!

More fussy-cut flowers and lots of layers behind this main photo.

By now, I was on a roll. I finished off the bits and pieces of this collection and created one last layout … this time, the page is my own design.

I used large glue dots to attach the acetate piece that is part of the title, and in retrospect, I wish I would have done something different. Either smaller glue dots, or better yet, run the piece through my Xyron machine so that there was adhesive across the entire piece. Live and learn, right! 🙂

I LOVE using up my stash! Especially since it is so hard for me to part with older collections … I still love them as much as the day I acquired them!
I hope this has inspired you to pull out an older collection and put it to good use on a few of YOUR projects!
Have a great week!
