School is back in session, but my mind is on all of the fun our family had this past summer. We were able to cross off one of my bucket list items with a visit to the Oregon coast. It was wonderful!
The bright colors and patterns of the Vicki Boutin Field Notes collection by American Crafts remind me of our Oregon vacation and the colorful Glass Shop we visited while we were there. It was the perfect choice to scrapbook these photos!
I chose to use a neutral Kraft cardstock background for this page, which allowed the colors and patterns of the One of a Kind Paper and Flower Ephemera Die Cuts to really POP! The black accents and stamping punctuates all of the colors as well.
I love all of the horizontal phrases and border elements included in the Escape the Ordinary Gold Foil Chipboard Stickers … they were perfect for the marrying photos together along the seam and filling in odd spaces around the page design.
I cut the black banner chipboard banner in half using half across the phrase sticker in between the photos and the other half at the bottom of the page. The zig zag shape adds interest to the page and the black color grounds the other elements and keeps your eye moving through the different portions of the layout.
The stamps have got to be my favorite part of this paper collection! They were so much fun to use and really helped to bring in the patterns that we saw in the art that we saw on our visit to the glass studio.
Thanks for stopping by!
