Bella Blvd: Home of the Brave

Today I am up on the Bella Blvd. Blog with a process video featuring a patriotic page created with a combination of Bella Blvd. collections!

This was a really fun one to put together! I love working with a color scheme … grabbing elements from several collections to put together my own unique look for a project.

The grid background paper is the Dancing Jellies paper from the Secrets of the Sea Boy collection. I then used my Silhouette Cameo 3 machine to cut the stars and stripes for the top of the page using the Blueberry Stars Paper (Oh My Stars Collection) and the On the Farm Paper (red wood slat paper from the Barnyard collection).

The title is a combination of two packages of acrylic words (Home, Namaste and Be You, Be Brave) along with the Blueberry Wonky Alphabet Letter Stickers. So cute!

I love the circular die cut pieces that I added to the right of the title … don’t they remind you of fireworks?!

I layered several star die cuts on top of the Blueberry Paper stars on the left side of the page and then added a mixture of Milk White, Blueberry Mix, and McIntosh Mix Puffy Stars stickers to give the page a “sparkly” look and add texture and dimension.

Below the photos, I added two house die cuts along with a little cloud. The houses tie in with the “Home” of the Brave title at the top of the layout.

Bella Blvd: Just Plain Fishy

I love the Fundamentals Sticker sheets that come with each Bella Blvd collection. There are so many versatile shapes on each sheet, including phrase stickers, tab stickers, border stickers, all types of accent stickers: like hearts, circles, arrows, pluses, and more. There is even an alphabet! Everything you need to make a page look finished is included! You gotta love that!

Today I wanted to share with you a page I created using the Secrets of the Sea – Boy collection, using lots of Fundamental Stickers to accent my page. Check it out below!

I gotta say, one of my very favorite things about the Fundamentals Stickers is the cute alphabet. I love the varying sizes of the letters. It makes your title on your project look so bouncy and fun! Here you can see that I spelled out my title on a circle of 6×8 paper that has been stitched around the edge with my sewing machine. I added a puffy fish sticker and then used the hearts from the Fundamental Sticker Sheet as the air bubbles for the fish!

I added a designer clip to the top right corner of my main photo and then added a phrase sticker, a large heart sticker, and two plus stickers as accents. You can also see the border sticker accenting the top of my page!

I clustered lots of the Fundamental Stickers in the other corner of my page to the left of the small photo. First, I placed added twine to the tag sticker and added it to the left of the photo. I then added the sailboat puffy sticker. The small cloud, “AWESOME” word sticker, and rectangle fish sticker ground everything and make it feel cohesive.

I added another border sticker to the bottom of the page and used my sewing machine to zig zag stitch across the top of it.

The journaling on this page would almost get lost in the shuffle of things if it wasn’t for that adorable octopus sticker grouped with a phrase and arrow sticker from the Fundamentals Sticker sheet. The arrow directs your eye to the story and helps provide movement on the page.

I had so much fun putting this page together and the Fundamental Stickers were just the things I needed to connect all the different areas of the page together. Thanks for stopping by today!

Bella Blvd: SWIM Hybrid Layout

This week there is awesome sale on all of the Digital products at Bella Blvd! From now until June 11th, receive 25% all digital products by using the coupon code DIGI25. How awesome is that?! Check out all the goodies available by CLICKING HERE.

In honor of the sale, for my project this week I created a hybrid layout where I mixed together the Secrets of the Sea digital embellishments along with the physical products of the Secrets of the Sea Girl collection. You can see this page come together in the process video below.

What better way to kick off summer than with a page about the pool?!

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Secrets Sea Hybrid SWIM Layout 1 600

I talk about this in the video, but the thing I loved most about using the digital products on this page was the ability to punch up the cute factor with the large mermaid art. These photos are just a few shots I snapped on my cell phone without too much thought, so they aren’t the greatest, but the mermaid really helps to dress things up!

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Secrets Sea Hybrid SWIM Layout 2 600

I placed the journaling at the top of the page along with some of the Secrets of the Sea Designer Clips and puffy heart stickers in Ice Mix and Punch Mix.

The blue mist splattered here-and-there feels like splashes of water from the pool!

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Secrets Sea Hybrid SWIM Layout 4 600

At the bottom of the page, I printed the SWIM embellishment really large and then cut out the letters to use as my title. Cute seaweed die cuts flank either side and make you feel like you are swimming along the bottom of the ocean floor along with the fish and mermaid!

Thanks for checking out my page today! If you haven’t given a hybrid layout a try in awhile, I recommend going for it! I loved having the flexibility of printing the images in any size that I wanted and will definitely be giving this a try again soon!

Bella Blvd: Creating Stamped Cork Embellishments

Hello, friends! Today I am up on the Bella Blvd. Blog with a fun tutorial. It’s Stamping Week and I decided that I wanted to try something a bit different for my assignment. I pulled out a sheet of thin cork from my stash and used the Illustrated Faith Delight in His Day and Seeds of Faith stamps to create my own cork embellishments.

First, here is a look at the completed page.

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Today I Am Layout 1 600

First, I used red, blue, and lime green ink to stamp several images onto the thin cork sheets.

Then, I used various circle punches to cut them out. To ensure that I lined up the images the way I wanted them to appear, I flipped the punch over, so that I could align the image in the window.

The thin cork sheets punch out easily! Make sure you use a thin cork … the thicker cork sheets probably won’t even fit in the mouth/slot of your punch.

I repeated this process until I had a variety of sizes and images to work with.

The first thing I did was decide how I wanted to use the cork circles in my design. I decided to place a cascading column of the circles on the right side of the page, and then place my photo, title, and journaling on the left side.

Once I had finished the page, I went back to the column of cork circles and filled in the white space in between them with Puffy Crosses and Puffy Stars Stickers (Milk White, McIntosh Mix, Pickle Juice), along with a few splatters of Teal Color Shine Mist.

To balance out all the activity going on along the right side of the page, I added more visual weight to my photo by matting it with several layers of cardstock, patterned papers (Top Notch Paper, Sprinkled with Bliss Paper), and a sheet from the Crosses 6×8 Clear Cuts Pad. Everything is anchored on a vertical strip of Just the Ticket Paper and Borders Paper.

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Today I Am Layout 1 600

I embellished the top left corner of the photo with a Designer Clip, Milk White Puffy Stars Stickers, and an arrow and phrase sticker from the Illustrated Faith Delight In His Day Fundamentals Stickers sheet.

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Today I Am Layout 2 600

Below the photo, I placed my title. I wanted this page to be about how I am feeling about myself and my life lately, so I used the “Today” acrylic word, along with the letters from the Fundamentals Stickers Sheet to spell out the title of “Today I Am…” I followed that up with a few descriptive words and the date (created with my computer).

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Today I Am Layout 4 600

A little bit of mist and a few more puffy star stickers, coordinate with the mist and puffy stickers going on along the right side of the page.

Jana Eubank Bella Blvd Today I Am Layout 3 600

One thing I love so much about Bella Blvd. collections are the bright happy colors … I couldn’t resist matting the entire page with the colorful Raise Me Up Paper. A line of blue stitching around the edge of the page and down the vertical strips of patterned paper finishes everything off!

Have you tried stamping on something other than paper lately? Give it a try! I had a lot of fun with this one and love how customized you can make your page look by creating your own embellishments.

Have a wonderful weekend!
