Echo Park Paper: Fill’er Up, Santa! Christmas House Gift Boxes

Today I am looking ahead to Christmas (Ack! I know!) and sharing a set of Christmas House Gift Boxes on the Echo Park Paper blog using the NEW Merry & Bright collection. These would be perfect for filling with treats and trinkets this coming holiday!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out these boxes using the Cotton Tail Village SVG Set by SVGCuts.com. Even though this set was meant for Spring/Easter … the house is fun to decorate for other holidays! (It would be cute as a Haunted House for Halloween, too, don’t you think?!) Just change up the paper and embellishments, and waaalaaa!
Each box is created from a mix of patterned papers. This first one features the green plaid Jolly Words paper. The lid of this box is cut from the 2×2 Journaling Cards paper and the body of the box is cut from the Merry Presents paper. The smaller patterns of the 6×6 paper pad were perfect for the roof and trim pieces. Elements from the Chipboard Accents and Sticker Sheet decorate the front of each box.

On this house, I stitched together three die cut trees (Merry Christmas Tree Die Set) to create a dimensional tree to add to the front of the house. Simply bend up the layers with your fingers after stitching together. A Chipboard Santa is waving a friendly “Hello!”

In addition to the stickers and chipboard pieces, I used green and red baker’s twine wrapped around the wreath and an enamel dot for the doorknob to add additional texture. There are even glittering gems (purchased from the Dollar Tree) lining the roofline! These are the kind of details that make projects like this so much fun to create!

Echo Park Paper: Autumn Gift Basket

Fall paper collections always put me in the mood for homebaked treats and connecting with neighbors. Today I am up on the Echo Park Paper blog with an apple barrel basket, created with the new Celebrate Autumn collection, that would be perfect for taking to a dear friend. Inside I have tucked a couple of dishtowels, a set of ceramic measuring spoons, a paper acorn box filled with treats, and a jar of honey.

I cut the “Thankful & Blessed” oval on the front of the basket from the 4×6 Journaling Cards paper and placed it on top of a band of Autumn Acorns paper. Next, I used the Falling Leaves paper and Chestnut Brown Linen Designer Cardstock to create the paper sunflowers adorning either side. (Find this adorable sunflower cut file HERE at MyScrapChick.com)
I painted the brown cardstock flower centers with THIS gold glitter water brush pen by Art-C to make them shimmer and sparkle. (I couldn’t quite capture these on camera … I sooo wish you could see them in person! They are AWESOME!)

The orange flowers were created from orange paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I used the Decorative Brads for the centers, and then added them around the sunflowers along with a few floral stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet. The basket itself was cut using Kraft Designer Cardstock using the basket file from the Fall Harvest SVG Set by SVGCuts.com. I used the Wood Grain Embossing Folder to give it lots of delicious, woodsy texture!

A peek inside the basket beckons the recipient to investigate!

Inside they will find the cutest acorn-shaped box filled with chocolates! (If you’d like to make your own acorn shaped box you can find the file HERE. It is from the Acorn Autumn SVG Set by SVGCuts.com)

I created another sunflower for the top of this box to coordinate with the basket, and then tied a tag from the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack to the acorn’s stem. The acorn lid is created from more Chestnut Brown Linen cardstock embossed with the Autumn Florals Embossing Folder.

Echo Park Paper: “You Are PAW-some” Dog House Treat Box

Hello, friends! Today I am up on the Echo Park Paper Blog with a fun dog house-shaped treat box for the dog lover in your life. I used the adorable new A Dog’s Tail collection for this project. Check it out below!
Jana Eubank Echo Park Paper A Dogs Tail Dog House 1 600
I used my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cutting machine to cut out the dog house using a house cut file from the Gingerbread Chalet Village SVG Set by SVGCuts.com. The base of the box is cut from the Puppy Play Paper. The roof was cut from Classic Green Felt Designer Cardstock and then covered with Furry Friends paper shingles (green polka dots). I created the shingles by cutting out small rectangles using my Silhouette Cameo and then adhering them one-by-one to the roof.

Next, I added a piece of acetate over the dog house door and added some grass border die cuts (using a metal die from my stash) along the bottom of each of the four walls. I then decorated the front of the house with several stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet and a dog that I fussy-cut from the 3×4 Journaling Cards paper. I die cut the heart above the door using the Postage Stamp Die Set (an older metal die set by Echo Park Paper).

I placed a treat inside of a cellophane bag, tied it with a bow, and then placed it inside of the gift box. I then tied everything closed with a cheery, red, plaid ribbon.

Every gift needs a cute tag, don’t you think?! The tags in the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack make it easy! I attached one to the bow at the top of the box using a bit of white twine, and then decorated the tag with a few small die cut hearts (Flower Set #5 Die Set).

Now this fun little treat is ready to give to your PAW-some friend! They will be delighted to open such a fun gift!

Echo Park Paper: Baby Boy Bottle Box and Baby Shoes

It’s been a long time since we have had a baby in our home, and that makes creating baby projects extra fun! Especially, using the NEW Sweet Baby Boy collection! Today’s project is a fun baby bottle gift box with matching 3D paper shoes.
Use the bottle to hold a gift card or small gift and add some candy (every new mom needs chocolate, right?!) to the accompanying baby shoes! I think they would look so cute packaged together in a cellophane bag tied with a pretty ribbon! You could even use this set as decor for a baby shower. Let’s take a closer look!
Jana Eubank Echo Park Paper Sweet Baby Boy Bottle 1a 600
I created the baby shoes using a cut file that I found in the Silhouette Design Store (Baby Sneaker by Daniela Moscone). The cut file includes one shoe. To create the pair of shoes, I simply copied all of the pieces and then reversed them in the Silhouette Design Software using the Object>Mirror>Flip Horizontally command.
After assembling the shoe, I laced them up with some teal baker’s twine and attached the “Baby Boy” tag from the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack.
Jana Eubank Echo Park Paper Sweet Baby Boy Bottle 2 600
This bottle box by SVGCuts.com is very easy to put together. I used foam squares to give the decorative panels and the label on the front dimension.
I used a variety of Echo Park Paper dies to create the label. The base of the shape was created using the Stitched Label Nesting Die. I matted this on solid yellow paper (6×6 paper pad) and then used the cloud from the Spring Weather Die Set to create a place for the stork sticker (Element Stickers) to stand on. The “Cute as a Button” die cut is also from the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack.
Finally, I used the Big Sky Saloon Alphabet Die Set to add the word “Baby.” Try adding the name of the baby here, too!

I hope you enjoyed these sweet baby projects and found some inspiration to create a project for the new baby in your life.
