More Shimelle Go Now Go

Happy Thursday, friends! I’m back with two more projects using a homemade kit I put together featuring the Shimelle Go Now Go collection.

CAMP FUN

At this point with my homemade kit I had lots of scraps left … I decided to see if I could layer them up to create a resting spot for some more camping photos. Here is the result!

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Camp Fun Layout 1 600

I had purchased several of these Pebbles sticker sets at the American Crafts Warehouse Sale last year to give to some teenage girls at my church to use in a journaling project. I had a couple of sets left and thought they looked adorable with the Go Now Go paper on this page.

The flowers in the tin can was perfect for these camping photos … it’s a subtle nod to all the times we collect wildflowers and display them on the campground picnic table in a paper cup or left over tin can from dinner. Ha!

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Camp Fun Layout 2 600

My goal was to do what I could to use up as many of the supplies as I could from my homemade kit … including the letters. I really like the way the bright green pops off of the page! I added more of the Pebbles stickers to decorate the open space to the left of the title and sprinkled in my favorite Stampin’ Up Metallic Enamel Shape stickers (seriously! I love these things! I have been using them on EVERYTHING lately!)

A line of red stitching around the edge adds the perfect finishing touch!

“HI” CARD

While I had everything out on my table, I decided to use up what I could by creating a card.

I layered together leftover bits of the patterned papers and then added stickers and a sentiment with the chipboard letters.

The result is a cute card I would be proud to give to a friend!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my homemade kit projects these past couple of days. Tomorrow I will be back with a fun back-to-school layout I created for Bella Blvd.

Bye for now!

Working with a Homemade Kit featuring Shimelle Go Now Go

I’m not sure if it is the beginning of a new school year, but I have been itching to play with some paper collections I purchased awhile ago and haven’t made the time to use. I decided to put together some homemade kits with those products and work on creating at least two projects with them to share with you throughout the end of the year. My stash needs some love!

This week the kit I put together has lots of Shimelle Go Now Go. I was able to create four projects (Yay, Me!!!) with this kit and wanted to share them with you today and tomorrow.

…………………………………………………………..

First up … a two-page layout!

CATCH & RELEASE

I was in the mood to play with some cute cut files by Lettering Delights on this one. So that is what I did. The images featured on this page are from the “Happy Trails Too” set.

**SIDENOTE: I really struggled to get the colors just right on these pictures … so I hope you’ll bear with me!

Jana Eubank Catch Release Scrapbook Layout 1 600

Added into the mix are some older Pebbles stickers … I believe these ones were from the Walnut Grove collection.

I used my Silhouette Cameo 3 Machine to cut out the “Catch” letters (Font: Bebas Neue) and the Ampersand (“St. Patrick’s Day Set” by Echo Park Paper; Design #122732 in the Silhouette Design Store).

Those cute chipboard letter stickers are an older set from Bella Blvd.

It’s been awhile since I have played with my beloved embossing folders, so I used one here to add pattern to the light green pine tree.

The other side of the layout features this chubby bear; fishing for his dinner! Haha!

Next up, is a single page layout featuring some vacation photos.

OUR TRIP

These photos were taken on the way home from a long family vacation. The kids were tired and, while we had a blast on this trip, we were all ready to get back home. Our fun had officially worn us out!

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Our Trip 1 600

I used the Shimelle Go Now Go “Fly” paper for the background of this page, and then clustered my photos together on vertical strips.

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Our Trip 2 600

At the top of the photos, I layered together several of the Go Now Go Chipboard stickers with one of the Wooden Buttons … of course I had to use the heart to go with the “I Left My Heart in Nauvoo,” right?! I also added in a couple of red gem hearts for good measure!

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Our Trip 3 600

More gem hearts and another wooden button accents these chipboard stickers. I had to add a little sarcasm to this page with the “Happy Travels” chipboard sticker … because you can clearly see that Camryn was DONE. Done, and ready to be finished with this flying home thing! Haha!

Jana Eubank Stashbusting Our Trip 4 600

I used the chipboard letter stickers again on this page for the title, clustering more stickers around it to give it some personality!

The “adventure” acrylic piece is available at Freckled Fawn. (I LOVE the handwritten script of this piece … it was created by talented friend, Crafty Jen Schow!)

Scrapbook Page: Happy Campers

Oh. My. Goodness. Have you seen the Stampin’ Up Pick a Pattern papers? I love the handdrawn feel of all of the patterns and couldn’t wait to play with them on this scrapbook page today.

HAPPY CAMPERS

This includes some older photos that I skipped past the first time I documented this trip. I can’t believe how much my daughters and her cousins have grown. I just HAD to include this photo in our books!

Jana Eubank Stampin Up Pick a Pattern Happy Campers Scrapbook Page 1 600

The first thing I did was create my title using the Happy Celebrations Stamps (Happy) and Hand Lettered Alphabet Stamps (Campers). I layered together two different pink markers to make sure I got the exact shade of pink I was looking for! The “campers” word was stamped using Emerald Envy Stampin’ Up ink.

Jana Eubank Stampin Up Pick a Pattern Happy Campers Scrapbook Page 2 600

I cut out the polaroid photos and cameras from one of the Pick a Pattern papers to use as page accents. I then clustered a couple of stamped phrases (Text Ya Later Stamp Set) and some hearts from the Metallic Enamel Shapes around them.

Jana Eubank Stampin Up Pick a Pattern Happy Campers Scrapbook Page 3 600

I LOVE using a pinked circle shape layered up behind plain punched circles. The new Starburst Punch was a must-have to add to my stash! (Phrase from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set)

Jana Eubank Stampin Up Pick a Pattern Happy Campers Scrapbook Page 4 600

I used an older background stamp (Writing Notes 139864) to create my journaling block. I added more handcut cameras, metallic enamel hearts, and anchored everything on that adorable yellow/black striped paper.

I wanted the camping paper to POP a bit more, so I used the Ticket Tear Border to add punched borders across the top and bottom of the paper block.

Jana Eubank Stampin Up Pick a Pattern Happy Campers Scrapbook Page 5 600

I used a black journaling pen to outline all of the paper layers so that they matched the look of the doodled patterns.

I then added more stamped phrases to the camera cluster at the bottom. The “So Glad We Are Friends” is from the You’re Delightful Stamp Set, and the “You’re the Best” phrase is from the Text Ya Later Stamp Set.

I used the AWESOME Classic Label Punch to create all the labels for the phrases on this page. To dovetail the ends (instead of leaving them pointed), simply flip the punched piece around and notch the ends with the punch again!

Simple Stories: Cabin Fever Layouts

This year our family took a road trip through the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Being in the mountains is my favorite place to be! I love enjoying the fresh air along with the sights and sounds of nature. You can bet that I took a lot of photos on that trip that I couldn’t wait to scrapbook using the Simple Stories Cabin Fever collection.
ADVENTURE
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Adventure 1 600
The first thing I did was to pull out the Bits & Pieces pack. I sifted through all of the designs and selected several that went along with my photos. The red checked geo tag die cut was perfect for calling attention to the photos of this beautiful waterfall.
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Adventure 2 600
I die cut the title from the Summer Camp Paper (red buffalo check) using my Silhouette Cameo 3 Electronic Die Cutting machine and the “Adventure” cut file by Simple Stories found in the Silhouette Design Store (Design #199552). I added a pinecone decorative brad to the left side of the title.
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Adventure 3 600
I then used more Bits & Pieces die cuts and stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet to create two clusters around the bottom of my photos. The floral clusters and word phrases are repeated in both clusters to tie things together.
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Adventure 4 600
This next page features a few snapshots taken closer to home … in fact, they were taken in our backyard last fall as we enjoyed the fire pit one cool night.
FIRE PIT
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Fire Pit 1 600
I wanted a plain cardstock background, but decided to make it a little more interesting by die cutting stars all over it. I placed a second sheet of the same color of cardstock behind the die cut piece. The result is a subtle tone-on-tone texture that doesn’t take away too much attention from the photos.
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Fire Pit 2 600
At the top of the photos I added the heart sticker matted with white cardstock. I added the date and a decorative brad for a bit of dimension.
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Fire Pit 3 600
I used my scissors to cut the fire from the 4×6 Vertical Elements Paper. It was the perfect size to accent my title! I couldn’t resist adding the chipboard piece with the  marshmallows on a stick above it. Too cute!
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Fire Pit 4 600
At the bottom of the page I layered up a few chipboard pieces. Two wood slice circles overlap each other and anchor the rectangle chipboard piece. I love what it says! “Life is better by a campfire” So true!
Jana Eubank Simple Stories Cabin Fever Fire Pit 5 600
I cut the journal block from the 4×6 Horizontal Elements paper and added it to the right of the photos. I used a black pen to handwrite my journaling and then accented the bottom with the Roughin’ It washi tape and a floral sticker.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you leave feeling inspired to pull out those outdoor photos and get them scrapbooked!
