Good morning! Today I am up on the Echo Park Paper blog with a sweet little card featuring the Tooth Fairy Mini collection.
TO THE MOON AND BACK
WooHOOO! It’s officially FALL! My favorite time of year! I just love everything about this season. The warm and cozy colors, textures, food, and scents. It’s a time to pull out the corduroy jackets, boots, clogs, and make a pot of warm, savory soup. It’s a time to start adding special decorating touches to the house and to visit friends and family.
If you are looking for a fun gift idea to drop off to a friend, you might like this next idea. I purchased a pack of scented sachets with yummy fall scents. These can be found at several different types of stores. I purchased mine at Michael’s. Next, I made them a little more special by slipping them into a decorative envelope created with my Cricut Expression machine and the Simply Scarecrow Seasonal Cartridge.
The envelope pouch was created with the Cricut Mini Books Project Cartridge, but you could use any type of envelope or envelope cut file and simply trim off the envelope flap. The half circle notch could be added with a circle punch. I used the Cuttlebug machine and the Contemporary Nature embossing folder to add some texture.
The layered ovals were created with the Cricut Cake Basics Cartridge. I stitched around the edge of the top oval with my sewing machine. I love making fall projects, because you can go crazy with layers and texture! I really don’t think you can overboard in this area. 🙂
The scarecrow is holding a cute little dimensional leaf banner created with baker’s twine and Cricut cut leaves. Just punch with a 1/8″ hole punch, string the leaves and tie onto the arms of the scarecrow. The crows eyes are black pearl stickers, but you could also use dimensional black paint. (I like Inkssentials Enamel Accents, which can be found at JoAnn’s … and probably Michael’s, too). Finally, add some buttons to the scarecrow and pumpkin for more homespun detail.

Happy Fall, Friends!
I’m back with the final installment of the Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Projects. Don’t forget! These amazing Cuttlebug folders are available on the Cricut.com website here.
Today, I’ll show you my FAVORITE of the three I worked with … the Matelasse Embossing Folder. I love the “basket weave” quilted feel of this one!
