February SCT Sampler Layout with Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection!

The SCT Sampler kit is a small subscription kit that gives you a small ‘sampling’ from different manufacturers each time. I subscribe to the kit and enjoy getting a ‘taste’ of new collections each month.

(Click here for more information about the SCT Sampler Kit Subscription.)

I was invited to do a Facebook LIVE in the SCT Sampler Group in February (anyone can request to join … even if you don’t yet subscribe to the kit) and created the following layout featuring the darling Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection.

I used the heart dies that were included in the January Sampler kit to create the hearts around my page. I used scissors to cut away the inside of the hearts and then layered them on top of the different papers included in the kit.

The ‘Happy’ script die was included in the February SCT Sampler kit. I decided to use it for my title. I used the ‘Happy’ word as-is for the first word. For the second word in the title, I cut apart the letters from the die and re-fashioned them to spell the word ‘day’ (the ‘d’ is an upside down ‘p’).

The Doodlebug Design enamel hearts and dimensional bird stickers were the perfect accents to the Happy Hearts die-cuts included with my kit. It’s always a fun and creative exercise to see what I can create with just a few supplies.

If you’d like to watch my process of this page coming together, you can see it in the group at the link below (if you’re not yet a member of the group, just request to join).

The February SCT Sampler is no longer available, but I linked the products I used for this page in the list below, if you are interested.

Doodlebug: There’s No Place Like HOME

Only have one photo for a page? Try creating a larger-than-life title to fill the rest of your layout like I did below on this fun page using the Doodlebug Simply Spring collection.

Jana Eubank Doodlebug Simply Spring Home 1 900

I wanted to scrapbook this photo of my oldest and youngest daughters hanging out together at home, and thought it would be fun to use the Cozy Cottage Doodle-pop Sticker in place of one of the letters in the word “HOME.”

I die cut the large letters using an electronic die cutting machine and then placed the Cozy Cottage sticker on layered circles in place of the letter “O.” The remaining letters are accented with the May Flowers Sprinkles.

I had several scraps of patterned papers left over from a previous project. I layered them together behind my photo for more color. I placed a pair of Sunny Skies Cute Clips at the top left corner of the photo even more dimension.

The flowers in the bottom right corner of the photo were created using the Garden Flowers Craft Kit. I scored the leaves and added Glitter Sprinkles to the flower centers.

I capped the top of the page off with a sunny, scalloped border sticker from the This & That Sticker sheet

… and then added two colors of pink heart Sprinkles around the page for a lovey-dovey feel.

Doodlebug: Easter Pancakes

As our extended families grow larger and larger, it can be difficult to alight schedules to get together for holiday dinners. Some years, we have opted to gather on a Saturday morning for an Easter pancake breakfast.

Today I am using the darling Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Collection, along with a pair of cut files to create the page below!

Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 1 900

This sweet bunny hugging his carrot is so adorable! I used the Petite Print Rainbow 6×6 Paper Pads on the colored portions of the design. I then layered several of the Odds & Ends grass die cuts together to give him a place to sit. How cute are the Jellies Sprinkles hidden here-and-there?! The clouds were created with vellum and white cardstock using a Simply Spring Cloud cut file.

On the right side of the page are a pair of chicks from the Odds & Ends pack. I added pink chalked cheeks to each one, just like the paper pieced bunny.

I placed the title at the bottom of the page below the journaling. I used the “Easter” word sticker from the Icons Sticker Sheet along with layered Swimming Pool and Lily White Abigail Letter Stickers. The left side of the title is accented with the too-cute-for-words Flower Basket Doodle-pop Sticker.

Creating the die cut bunny and clouds for this page was so much fun! Have you given the Doodlebug Cut Files a spin lately?

Doodlebug: Easter Egg-citement

Hello, Friends! Today I have a cute and colorful Easter page to share with you using the adorable Doodlebug Hoppy Easter collection.

Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Easter Eggcitement 1 900

I pulled out my sewing machine for this one and added lots of stitching to all of the different paper layers on this project.

The Odds & Ends pack is my Go To Doodlebug product! I LOVE all of the different elements and always enjoy building scenes on my pages with them.

On this page, I added a garden scene for this cute little Easter bunny to hang out in. I pulled in some bees from the Simply Spring Little Critters Shape Sprinkles so he would have some pals to munch on his carrots with.

I used the “Easter” die cut for my title along with the Bubblegum Teensy Type alphabet stickers. A cute chick peeking out of his colorful egg shell is ready for the Easter “Egg”citement!

I always love adding a bit of sparkle to my layouts. This time I brought in the Birthday Girl Assortment Glitter Sprinkles and added them in a few places around the page. The pop of pink here-and-there ties in with the pink outfits in the photo and helps the page to feel balanced.
