Ever since the Shimelle Box of Crayons collection came out I have been wanting to create a school-themed mini album with it. My daughter is graduating from Elementary School this year, and so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to create an album using her photo from the first day of school each year. It’s so much fun to see my daughter’s growth from year-to-year all in one place!
I created the page using my Silhouette Cameo 3 electronic die cutting machine and the cardstock from the Shimelle 12×12 Project Pad. Each year has its own tab and is labeled with a mini tile letter sticker from the Alphabet Stickers Folder.
Each page is decorated with papers from the Box of Crayons 6×6 paper pad. I then fussy-cut several journaling shapes from the 6×8 Writing Pad to use as layers behind the photo for each year. The long crayons at the bottom of each page are also from the 6×8 Writing Pad.
I sized the photos so that four of them would fit on a 4×6 print … this was the perfect size to fit inside the frame die from the Animation Small Die Card set by Motion Crafts.
I had so much fun decorating each page with various stickers from both the Project Pad and the Cardstock Stickers sheet. I mixed in Enamel Dots and gold paperclips (from the Office Bucket Accessory Set – Gold and Black) for added dimension.
My daughter loves her little book! It was the perfect way to commemorate her Elementary School years! This type of project would be a fun keepsake for a graduate as well.
