Father’s Day 2-Pager

Every month on the Cricut Circle Blog one of our DT members creates a 2-Page layout complete with a Gypsy File to download. In June it was my turn to come up with a design so I created this Father’s Day 2-Page Layout using the Cricut Exclusive Cartridge, Pop-Up Neighborhood. All I need to do is add photos!

Box Houses & On the Farm Layout

One summer when I was a kid, my best friend across our culdesac got new appliances for their kitchen. Her parents gave the boxes to us and we had a BLAST creating our very own house complete with windows and doors. That house must have kept us occupied a good three weeks! I LOVED that thing! Well, over the weekend we set up a new patio furniture set in our backyard. The kids could not WAIT to have those big boxes all to themselves. My husband dragged them down to the basement and they spent the rest of the day (and evening . . . they stayed up until midnight!) creating their house and setting up for a sleepover in their box house. LOL!

This morning my Kindergartner said to me, “Mom! It is so much fun sleeping in a box!” Hehehehe! Too cute! I think all the fun finally caught up with her because here is where I found her at lunchtime. Ahhhhh, memories! 😀

I have mentioned before how much fun I have been having creating little scenes on my scrapbook pages with my Cricut cartridges. Last quarter’s Cricut Circle Exclusive cartridge, Pop-Up Neighborhood Cartridge, is PERFECT for these types of pages. Here is one of my daughter’s School Field Trip to a local Dairy Farm. (For more information about joining the Cricut Circle, click here.)

Cricut Machines Used: Cricut Expression, Gypsy Design Device
Cricut Cartridges Used:  Pop-Up Neighborhood (Cricut Circle Exclusive), Plantin SchoolBook (title letters), Martha Stewart Crafts All Occasions Cake Art (grass)

More My Mind’s Eye CHA Layouts

It hit me the other day . . . summer is coming to an end. August is always such a blur getting ready to go back to school, cramming in last minute camping trips, and getting ready for three of my kids August birthdays. We have been trying to do our fair share of summer activities . . . going to Lagoon (our local amusement park), swimming at Cherry Hill, and eating lots of ice cream. 🙂 Yesterday we all visited the dentist and I’m happy to say NO CAVITIES! Yay! Of course we had to celebrate with ice cream treats at Pace’s Dairy Ann. Hehehe!

There’s just a few more days to leave a comment on the post below to enter yourself in the 2011 My Mind’s Eye Birthday Blog Hop! So many of you have popped by already! Thank you for all of your comments! I love to read through them!

I thought I would share with you the rest of the pages I created with the NEW My Mind’s Eye collections for their booth at CHA-Summer. These first two pages were created using the New MISCHIEVOUS Halloween collection. I have to say . . . I am completely diggin’ the blue added with the traditional halloween colors. I also LOVE the fact that this line has a primitive folk art feeling to it! So different from anything else out there! CLICK HERE to see everything in this fun collection.

.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN – Camryn had been planning on being Jasmine from Aladdin for a really long time and completely took on the role while wearing her costume. Hehehe! I love that you can tell how much she loved her costume by her pose. 😀

How cute are these chipboard stickers?! Sorry about the twine bow being wacko. I was in a hurry to get these out the door for CHA and didn’t pay close attention while I was photographing. *blush*

.

TRICK OR TREAT – Last year, Owen was a Star Wars Pilot for Halloween. I love how his orange costume pops off the page against the muted colors of the Mischievous collection! The distressed look of this collection lends itself very well to masculine pages.

I added Glossy Accents to the pumpkin’s eyes and stitching to their mouths for a bit more dimension. 🙂

.

PICKING PUMPKINS – Alright all you cardmakers & Cricut users . . . have you seen the NEW Six by Six paper pads by My Mind’s Eye?!!! You are going to FLIP! Soooo many cute papers! And the cool thing about them is that these are ALL NEW patterns. You can only find these patterns in the Six by Six collection!  CLICK HERE to check them all out! You are going to want to collect them all! But don’t think you have to limit yourself to cards and accents. Here is a layout I created using the papers from the ALL SPICE and AWAY WE GO paper pads.

The flocked journaling spot is from the Lush 2 collection and the green flocked letters and gray rhinestones are from the Lush collection. The orange letters were cut using my Cricut machine and the Martha Stewart All Occasions Cake Art Cartridge. The pumpkins were cut using the Disney Pooh & Friends cartridge (page 44). I used My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose buttons, Martha Stewart Glitter, and Karen Foster Designs Scrapper’s Floss to accent them.

.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for popping in!
