Stamping & Coloring on Cards

As part of the 24-Hour Craft Day on HSN last month, I created several projects using American Crafts Chromatix markers. Unfortunately, the markers sold out and are no longer available at HSN.com, but I thought I would still share with you what I made.

READY SET GO

For this card, I combined stamps together with a couple of the phrase stickers from the Inspired Inc. Mega Stickers Kit.

SPRING

For this card I tried coloring the markers directly to a solid floral stamp. I love the way the colors mixed together before stamping them on the paper. The card sentiment is again from the Inspired Inc. Mega Sticker Kit.

ST. LOUIS

And finally, I created a scrapbook page with a stamped city skyline. I love the watercolor effect I was able to achieve using these markers. So fun!

I know I already posted this morning, but I just found out about a SALE of one of my very favorite stamp companies . . . My Cute Stamps. She is having a 50% off EVERYTHING sale for a Limited Time. I don’t know when this one will end (I just discovered it myself), but I thought I would share it with you in case you love her stamps, too. 🙂

I used to be on Holly’s My Cute Stamps design team a couple of years ago and here are a few of the projects I created.

Have a great day!

Your next stop is the amazing and talented: ***AMBER PACKER***

So let me tell you why I chose the word IMPROMPTU this month. You see, I have a four year old, and if you have a four year old, you know that they are constantly on the go. They are constantly coming up with new games to pretend and play and curious about everything in the world around them.

My daughter is fascinated with scissors right now. I should have seen it coming . . . but somehow I thought this child of mine would be immune from the temptation. Enter in the movie “Tangled” and we have ourselves an IMPROMPTU haircut! Heeee! I know. It wasn’t terrible short in any one area, which was good. Even the hairdresser said she did a good job! But she definitely did not have bangs before this. LOL!

My sweet girl started bawling her eyes out, when she realized she couldn’t just stick her hair back on (can’t you tell from her mugshot-like photos). 🙂 It was quite traumatic for her because she REALLY wants long hair like Rapunzel. I reassured her that everything would be find . . . and you know what?! After we took her to get it “fixed” at the hairdresser, she was quite proud of her makeover. Infact, she’s so proud that she gave her Barbies the same exact hairdo! LOL! Yes, . . . the scissors have been put up high for a little while. But the whole story makes me smile and I couldn’t wait to record it on a scrapbook page.

SUPPLIES: My Mind’s Eye STELLA & ROSE Hazel Collection (Patterned Papers, Layered Chipboard, Decorative Brads, Bits & Pieces Label Stickers), My Mind’s Eye STELLA & ROSE Mabel Collection Trims, My Mind’s Eye LIME TWIST Life of the Party “Charmed” Alphabet Stickers (mini letters), My Mind’s Eye LIME TWIST Out of the Blue “Remember” Twine (gray), Sassafras Lass Chipboard Letters, Cricut Machine and “A Child’s Year” cartridge (scissors), Darice gems.
